Choose the sound your video actually contains.

You can work silently and still save a video with sound. You can also hear music in the room while the browser records silence. Follow the audio path before changing the visual.

Spectral organ visual reference from PHASE VOID Studio
Spectral organ · a procedural scene reference. This still does not demonstrate an audio route or a saved soundtrack.

Separate the source, the speakers and the saved track.

A working setup has several audio decisions. The source supplies the signal the visualizer measures. Monitoring determines whether this Studio sends that signal to its speakers. Recording or file rendering determines which sound is written into the video. A room loudspeaker, a moving meter and an exported audio track provide different evidence.

  1. Choose the source

A local file, a connected live input or the public demo supplies the signal.

  2. Choose the output level

Monitoring and the recording or soundtrack level have separate jobs.

  3. Listen to the saved result

Check the intended soundtrack at the opening, a later passage and the ending.

A description of the current product workflow, not a measurement of physical room timing.

Start with the source you actually want. A local MP3/WAV must be loaded and running for a performed take. A live route must provide an audio track to the browser. Music playing elsewhere on the computer does not become a captured source automatically. Use the live input guide when connection, sharing or input selection needs attention.

Use Speakers off for quiet work; check the recording level separately.

Control or observationCurrent roleWhat to inspect
Speakers offSilences Studio speaker monitoring; it does not disable analysis or the recording audio path.Keep this off during quiet setup. Inspect the saved soundtrack separately.
Studio VOLSets the realtime recording output level as well as the level used for file/demo speaker monitoring.A zero level can make the recorded soundtrack silent even while analysis meters move.
LOW / MID / HIGHDescribe measured source activity.Confirm it is the intended music. Activity alone does not establish a usable exported track.
File-render soundtrack and levelSupply the decoded file soundtrack with Studio VOL captured when the film is reviewed.Check Studio VOL before preparing Review, then confirm the selected file and passage. Live monitor playback is not that soundtrack.

Microphone and shared-tab sources are not routed back through Studio speakers. The microphone route avoids monitoring feedback, while shared-tab sound already has its own playback origin. Speakers off also cannot silence an unrelated player, another browser tab or a physical mixer. If a room is audible, first identify what is actually producing that sound.

The analyser is fed separately from the realtime recording level. Raising visual Energy or Motion is therefore not a way to increase the saved soundtrack volume. If a file is silent, inspect the selected source, transport and recording level before replacing worlds or adding effects. The symptom journey keeps those checks in their operational order.

Give visual clips and the soundtrack their own jobs.

The two Program video layers are visual layers. Their clip audio stays muted; playing a clip does not add its embedded song to the analyser, the speakers or the saved soundtrack. A separate MP3/WAV or supported live input supplies the show’s sound. This is useful for combining several loops without accidentally mixing their original audio.

For a planned music video, File render uses the selected local mono/stereo MP3/WAV passage and its reviewed timeline. It does not record whatever happens to be audible in the room. The current look or saved acts provide the picture, while the chosen file provides the soundtrack. Review the Sound step even when the right track was already selected in Studio.

For performed gestures, live sources or an improvised mix, use the separate realtime capture path. That take depends on the connected source while the performance runs. A source that ends, pauses or loses its audio track changes what can reach the recorder. File rendering and performed capture answer different delivery needs; the preview and finished-film explanation covers the picture side.

Use an actual saved take as a bounded example.

Decoded frame from the original revised Drop take with procedural output and video layers
First-party recording, 9 October 2026: a 960 × 540 VP9/Opus take with muted visual clip layers and a separate original stereo soundtrack. The archived workflow used Speakers off. The saved stream report supports this file’s audio/video properties, not a physical-sync or device guarantee. Open the dated recording ↗

The archived stream report records two audio channels at 48 kHz alongside the video stream. It explicitly leaves synchronization unverified. An audio track’s presence does not certify the intended complete song or physical room timing.

That example shows why a quiet operator setup and a soundtrack-bearing recording can coexist. It does not certify the source, level, duration or timing of a different file you make today. There is no need to repeat an unrelated benchmark before every edit; inspect a representative output when your actual sound route or export conditions change.

Check the intended sound before choosing the delivery file.

  1. Confirm the correct source and passage, then check whether it is paused, running or connected. Distinguish a quiet musical section from a lost input.
  2. Check VOL separately from Speakers off. For File render, set the intended Studio VOL before preparing Review, and confirm the selected soundtrack and passage. Prepare a fresh review after changing the level.
  3. Save a short representative result when the source or export path changes. Reopen that actual file and deliberately listen at useful points, using headphones or an appropriate monitoring setup when wanted.
  4. Compare the opening, a later change and the ending with the intended track. Hearing some sound is not proof that the complete passage or every transition is correct.

Once the soundtrack is right, choose a destination-compatible container using MP4 and WebM for music visualizer videos. If the saved file is silent, keep the original and use the finished-file checks. A moving preview, a filename and a download-request notice are not substitutes for reopening the result.
